Understanding Regional Website Currencies

Trustico® operates a number of regional websites, and each one is denominated in the local currency of the region it serves. The site you visit decides the currency you see prices in, and the currency you are billed in.

Knowing this before you order explains why an order placed on one of our sites may be charged in a different currency from another, and what appears afterward on your invoice.

Regional Website Currencies

Each of our regional sites carries its own local currency, chosen to suit the region it serves. Whichever site you order from, that site's currency is the one applied to your order.

Because the currency follows the site rather than your location, visiting a site outside your own region means ordering in that region's currency instead of your local one.

Pricing Without Markup

Our base currency is United States Dollars (USD). Pricing across all of our regional websites is calculated from that base in real time, using the latest available foreign exchange data.

We do not add a set markup or any additional charge to that conversion, so the price shown in your local currency tracks the underlying United States Dollar (USD) price directly.

Currency Charged Against Your Order

You are shown prices and charged in the currency of the site you order from, whichever country you are in. The amount on your order and your invoice is set in that currency.

Your bank or card provider may then convert that amount into the currency of your card, at its own exchange rate. That conversion happens on their side, not ours, so the rate and any fee are set by them. Paying in your own local currency is generally cheaper, because a bank's own foreign exchange calculation is not always as favorable.

Local Website Notice

Whenever you visit a site that is not the local one for your area, we show a notice on every page. It lets you know that a local site is available, so you can switch before you order if you would prefer your own currency.

Following that notice takes you to the site for your region, where prices and billing are shown in your local currency from the outset.

Choosing Your Billing Currency

To be billed in your own currency, order from the regional site that serves your area. Using your local site is the way to keep your order in the currency you expect.

This keeps your order, your invoice, and your card in the same currency, and avoids a conversion by your bank. Learn About Our Payment Options 🔗

Partner Account Currency

Partner accounts work differently. A partner account has a set currency, based on the partner's location by default, and that currency applies no matter which of our sites you visit.

Once you are logged in to a partner account, prices are displayed and charged in the account's set currency across all of our sites. The site you happen to be on does not change it.

The set currency can be changed to any of our supported currencies on request. A change takes effect immediately for browsing, so prices display in the new currency straight away, but it applies only to orders placed from that point onward. Explore the Partner Service 🔗

Invoice Currency

Your invoice reflects the currency of the site you ordered from, and it cannot be changed to a different currency afterward. This is a requirement we are not able to set aside, even by request.

Where you need to know what an order cost in your own currency, the converted amount will appear on your card or payment statement, as applied by your bank or card provider. If you need help with an order, please Contact Our Support Team 🔗
